Russell Keglovits, MS. Ed.
Assessment Specialist
Mr. Russell Keglovits is an Assessment Specialist who has been with ACS Ventures since 2019. He brings over two decades of experience in education, assessment, and data analysis to his work with clients. Before joining ACS, Russ served as the secondary mathematics consultant and accountability director for the Nevada Department of Education, where he oversaw the design and implementation of Nevada’s statewide school accountability systems. His earlier career included roles as a program administrator, high school mathematics teacher, and adjunct professor at local colleges.
At ACS, Russ has led a wide range of projects focused on improving the quality, fairness, and effectiveness of educational and licensure examinations. His work includes test and program evaluations, standard setting and alignment studies, curriculum design, and item development workshops. In recent years, Russ has expanded his portfolio to include psychometric analyses for legal examinations, conducting statistical reviews of test content, form equating, score imputations, and analyses to detect potential cheating.
Russ is also involved in developing models of student academic growth, using the statistical programming language R to analyze large and complex datasets. Across all his work, he combines technical expertise with a practical understanding of how assessment data can be used to support decision making and educational improvement.
Russ is a United States Army veteran who holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Nevada, Reno and two M.Ed. degrees, most recently in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
He lives in Reno, Nevada with his wife and daughter and can often be found on a trail or lake in the nearby Sierra Nevada Mountains. Russ enjoys competing in long-distance running events and is an avid woodworker who designs and builds furniture.
